Welcome to the website of CPC Corporation, Taiwan (CPC).  We respect, and are committed to protecting, the privacy of everyone who visits this website.  Accordingly, we would like to both inform you of how we use your personal data and to recommend that you read this privacy statement.

1.What this privacy statement covers:

This privacy statement - and the privacy policy of which it forms a part - applies to all of the CPC corporate websites that you visit but it does not cover any links to sites that CPC does not own, control or maintain.  We cannot accept responsibility for their privacy policies and practices or lack thereof and we therefore make no representations or warranties about the privacy practices of those sites.  Similarly, we cannot accept responsibility for the policies and practices, or lack thereof, of any site from which you linked to our website.

2.Collection and use of personal data

(a)We will not collect the personal data of anyone who simply browses our website and downloads files available therein.
(b)You may be asked to provide personal information such as your name and contact details when accessing the online mailbox or other application services on our site.  The personal information collected as a result will be used for the sole purpose of responding to the specific email contact or application you have initiated and will not be disclosed to third parties, in compliance with the Information Protection Act and related regulations of the Republic of China on Taiwan.
(c)When you visit our site, we will collect the IP address of the device you use to connect to the Internet and other non-personal information such as the duration of your browsing and the web pages or links you have clicked on.  This information helps us to both provide an online experience that matches your device and to maintain our website’s standards of performance and quality. From time to time and due to the need for system security, we may monitor the site for suspicious activities such as a malign attempt to hack in or mounting an attack that could result in denial of service.  We will deal with such harmful action and threats in accordance with our information security policy and report such incidents to the relevant authorities and organizations.
