CPC is actively promoting digital transformation. In November 2021, the 5G AIoT Project Office was established. It aims to use artificial intelligence (AI) to improve processes, predict equipment failures, provide smart industrial safety, protect the environment, manage operations, and address other fields. As of April 2025, over 250 cases have been promoted. Following successful completion, billions of dollars are expected to be generated or saved, through increased revenue and reduced costs.
In recent years, AI and innovative technologies have been progressively integrated and widely used in production, sales, storage, environmental safety, and other fields. Not only will AI improve operational efficiency, but it will also enable the creation of smart workshop demonstrations aligned with sustainable development trends and competitive market requirements. The “power supply service life prediction technology” won first place in the 2024 National Brand Yushan Award for Best Product. This demonstrates the government-owned businesses’ active adoption of AI applications, its commitment to improving overall operational efficiency, and its capacity for action.
