CPC Holds a Fair and Sketching Contest to Celebrate “Good Luck Arrival” - the 30th Anniversary of the Yongan Liquefied Natural Gas Plant

This year is the 30th anniversary of importing liquefied natural gas to Taiwan. The  Yongan of Liquefied Natural Gas Plant of Natural Gas Business Division held the “ Good Luck Arrival– 30th Anniversary Fair and Sketching Contest” on September 19, 2020 outside the plant for the first time. In addition to inviting about 100 local vendors to participate in the fair, students from elementary schools and junior high schools in the neighborhood were invited to join the sketching contest. Besides, the Lion Dance Team of Weixin Elementary School in Kaohsiung was invited to perform in the opening ceremony. Songs and dances were performed by nearby communities throughout the fair. What a happy day!


Yongan Liquefied Natural Gas Plant was the first LNG terminal in Taiwan, ranking the 26th among 147 terminals around the world in accordance with the time of its construction. In 1990, the first shipment of liquefied natural gas was imported to Taiwan, starting a new chapter for the domestic and industrial use of natural gas. It exerted significant impact and meaning to the overall livelihood and economics in Taiwan. In the future, CPC will continue to operate with the business philosophy of “quality, service, and dedication” and provide natural gas with stable quality to Taiwan, fulfilling the social responsibility of the enterprise.
